Which AdSense unit has the highest CTR?

Hi,

In your particular case, which AdSense unit has the highest CTR and how much is that?

I manage a client site that scored <1 % CTR with 468x60 ads in a finance niche.

Pretty bad. And I'm investigating the cause. Probably traffic quality is the issue.

    • There is more to consider for CTR purposes than just the Adsense block. You need to have a website design that is specifically designed to direct the visitor attention towards your Adsense ads.

      My guess is that there are many different combinations of designs that could do well with almost any size of Adsense block, if the design of the website itself was entirely focused on maximizing the performance of that block.

      That said, Google itself says that its larger blocks perform the best. The 336x280 is the go-to block that most Adsense users say performs the best.

  • 336x280 is my first Choice and then goes 428x60 . They have always worked better for me. You need to play around and split test test to find out which one works best for you.
