I have developed an entertainment site, where people can upload and share their Audio and Video.

If a user uploads a Video Song, or a Music which is under a copyright acts, will this affect the Google Policies? under "Copyrighted material"

If so, how can i prevent this?

If you are going to allow users to upload content to your site, I would recommend against monetizing with Adsense.

If there is copyrighted content on your site, whether you or others upload it won't matter to Google and you will get your account banned.

It's your site, so it's your problem If you allow anyone else to post content on your pages, If that content doesn't follow any TOS.

Don't allow anyone else to post content on your site.

You could set up a simple. Upload moderation system. Where you or employees manually review uploads prior to being published.

Just do check / approval check for the content before it posted..

Why would you have people checking content? That's crazy. Who's going to pay these employees? These people would not be working for google, so why trust what they would approve? The whole idea is crazy.

This question is exactly why people get banned. They know the rules, but are asking for ways around it, winking that they can bend but not break 'em.

Besides, having a site like that would be in direct competition with youtube. That alone is a violation of youtube, hence a violation of adsense. Copyright secondary issue.

When people emphatically state they did nothing wrong, don't believe them.

There's no way around anything. If Google state that copyrighted material is against their ToS, it's exactly as it says. You may get around the system, and get paid for 10-months to come, but what happens when they eventually ban you? Are you willing to lose your adsense account forever?

Just got back from a #BrightonSEO. I was given room 404 in the hotel I stayed at. Couldn’t find it anywhere!

That is what I was going to say. Most of entertainment sites follow this. Even on some video portals if you upload any video, it is first approved before going public. This is the best way to keep you out of trouble.

People! You are missing the point! The internet is free and clear, full of pirates. Google does not care one iota about piracy, really, and hates being the internet cop. BUT....we are talking ASENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you choose to use adsense, YOU MUST follow google's rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You people just don't learn. Has nothing to do with how other sites, including youtube, get away with piracy.

It's about friggin adsense tos....*yawn*...which nobody seems to care about.
