Why are Google's Traffic Estimator numbers coming in so low? Confused

Hi Everyone!

I've got a question about Google's Traffic Estimator. I am seriously confused and disappointed. I didn't some keyword research using Google's Keyword tool and put together a list of keywords I'm going to use in my SEO and PPC strategy.

However, when I enter these keywords into Google's Traffic Estimator, it returns pretty low click estimates and impressions. I searched a popular actress' name and it returned impression of roughly "4" and a CTR of 0.2. WTH? The words I will be bidding on have low competition but medium to high traffic according to Google's Keyword Tool (under exact match) and common sense (these celebrities and movies get lots of searches).

What am I missing? :confused:

    That keyword tool is bullshit - I've seen keywords in their list that claim there are 40,000 search queries a month - launch a strong EMD, grab number one position within a month..........and crickets!

    It's ****in' bullshit numbers Google "rounds up" to get their Adwords rubes all wet......wet enough that their credit cards slip out of their pockets.

    Only real way to test traffic, is build the site and find out for yourself.
