After Penguin 2.0 and all the other Google activities to make it as hard as possilble for IMers and considering time and money necessary to put these (and similar backlinking) tools to work I wonder if it is still a good idea to invest in such systems any longer or should we rather concentrate on Social Media? Nota bene: I think that e.g. Magic Submitter is a wonderful piece of software but does it still make sense to use this or other tools?

Any convincing ideas /contributions on that?

I'll go in a different direction and say that they ARE still useful, with a catch. I've boosted plenty of sites with tons of crappy backlinks. But they absolutely do NOT last for the long haul. If you're trying to rank fast in a niche or keyword that is trending automated tools can still help. But be prepared to lose your rankings pretty quickly.

You've been at this forum for YEARS, yet you still sell a 'spam packet' in your signature.

Any chance you're going to step up your game in the near future?

These are just tools, how useful they are will depend on how you use them.

It depends on how you use them. They can be beneficial if you use them safely, however you could also destroy your traffic if you use it in an inappropriate way.

But yes, they can be useful for sure!

I'll step out of the social norm and say they ARE still working - if used extremely carefully and properly.

For instance, it's easy as hell to spot a VERY WELL spun article. If humans can do it easily, Google can too.

However, what if your 100 submissions to SEnuke/MS were all completely different, unique, well-written, articles? Sure, you're looking at some costs here for paying a writer to write 100 articles, but in this sense it appears to Google as legit - there's no way in denying that.

In that case, by the time you put the 100 submissions into SEN or MS you might as well submit them to the sites manually then.

    Of course it's still useful...

Build links the smart way and anything will work for you

I mean there are sometimes where there's nothing you can do and sometimes websites are just destined to fail.

    You live, you learn.

    But yes they work
