Music Blog and Youtube Channel

Hi all,

I am currently running my own music blog which gets about 40+ visitors a day (I know not much but I've been working on it for about a month). Now on my music blog I basically just embed from youtube or soundcloud the song and write basically a short description of the song and what I think about it. Now currently I'm embedding videos/music from other peoples youtube channel. My question is.... Is there any benefit in creating my own youtube channel then embedding my own videos into the blog post? Rather then embedding other peoples videos?

Thanks,
Dauzy

Music fits good with YouTube, if there is video too then no problem, you can use your own YouTube videos to get more benefit but however your blog should have relevant videos.. so try to embed some videos from other users too so that it would look more natural.

      I agree...!!

You can create a channel and linked it on your website as well as you can embed your own videos from Youtube to your site.

Apart from that, by posting videos on YouTube you will be able to get more referral traffic from YouTube. To do so, you have to properly optimise your channel description as well as title of each and every video that you post and the description as well. To do so, if is always better to do keyword research & find out the best keywords to target for on each videos. That will help your videos to rank on Google as well (if you can get some more links to your videos on youtube).
