Lycos Referral Traffic?

Has anyone else seen lycos traffic recently? I'm now getting more lycos "referral" traffic than google search. I tested by going to lycos myself and searching for a term I rank for, and that shows us "organic" not referral. So i'm thinking this might be an image search, but I then removed an image from a page that has been getting lycos traffic, and it's still getting traffic....anyone know how I can figure out the source of traffic?

  • I just noticed this traffic too on one of my sites.

    It was dead with Google and got maybe 5 visitors a month, then like overnight we are getting 600 visitors a month, all from Lycos.

    I think Analytics doesn't recognize Lycos as search traffic, hence the "referral" status.
