I created a few Weebly sites a year or so ago and have gotten some pretty good traffic, in fact, the SERP is really high. Why is this? Also, for my blogspot blog. Why? I mean, same type of content as I put up on my regular sites. Why is Weebly and Blogspot so rewarded?

EDIT:
Which is better?...

(A) put links to my Weebly site from my other non 2.0 sites
(B) put links to my non 2.0 sites from Weebly?
(C) link one 2.0 site to another 2.0 site (i.e., Blogspot to Weebly)

Whichever is best, I wouldn't overdo it.

Its called "piggy backing". You're basically taking a ride on the authority and trust of weebly. Your newly bought domain doesn't have any authority or any trust.

Not discounting your knowledge, but why would Weebly have any authority? Anyone can make a page about anything. Is it really just a racket? Who owns Weebly? Google? (I don't know.)

I assume Weebly is considered 2.0? Why are 2.0 sites ranked so high?

I don't think Weebly is owned by google but blogspot is. I haven't seen any difference between the two so I don't think there is some business relationship causing the favor google gives them.

Any domain will less oubound links will give more link juice than sites having many OBL. so using blogspot and weebly will improve your ranking.

I've always heard subdomains were usually considered separate sites in Google's eyes, and I would definitely think this is the case for web 2.0 properties. Google knows these subdomains are completely unrelated to Weebly's main site, so I'm surprised they'd benefit as much as a typical subdomain.

Has anyone else noticed that it's easier to rank these web 2.0 properties than creating a new domain?

using web 2.0 sites can help your website rank. Just always include your link on all the web 2.0 sites that you are going to use.

You are right, these days, I'm seeing blogspot is ranking good.. but you have to work for only Google so if you create too many affiliate page then you may be banned,

But you can take benefit of your traffic as well, if you use Adsense..

As they have good traffic so I won't suggest to put some links there as the ranking may disappear, so you should take whatever you can easily get.

That is what all experienced SEO guys are still arguing, web 2.0 sites still works well if those are properly used... lol

If you can add a link back to your money site (not the keyword on anchor text) - you can divert traffic from your weebly to your main site..
