The new algo update did the last blow to my Amazon site. It was relatively affected by Penguin 2.0 and I thought it was just like the first one. I did survived it once and even thrived after a couple of weeks up until this the latest Penguin. But wrong move on my part (and stupid of me) was to file a reconsideration when I saw that 1/3 of my traffic was already gone. I was rather too straight forward on the reconsideration letter saying Google should at least value content vs. backlink profile.( I know that there are many Amazon affiliates sites being hit.) But only after sending the letter that I had the queasy feeling that I can easily be marked and fall from Google's grace. Any person who has a big ego can easily take that letter against me (I think. Though I know now that I shouldn't expect reader of that letter to know I wrote it during a pressing time and somehow in bad mood.)
Now, this new algo update designed for 'query spam' hit me. Of course, I don't think my site deserves it. But it was hit and now is dead. (I can only deduct that my site was included because of my letter.)
I'll now brace for the coming hard difficult months. It's difficult to start all over again but I have to.

Just got back from a #BrightonSEO. I was given room 404 in the hotel I stayed at. Couldnât find it anywhere!
