Need to submit site to search engines?

I created a Weebly site couple of weeks ago, I just assumed it would get indexed since it is Weebly but just figured out it is not. Should I submit? I created a link to it today from a blogspot blog I have.

If so, need to do it to various search engines?

  • If the blogspot has decent authority it should help index the weebly quickly. Submitting the site here won't hurt either.

    Don't worry about the other search engines.
  • Don't worry about indexing it, the search engines will find it eventually. Backlinking will help, but in most cases it is not necessary.

    As Marc_L states above, the backlink from your Blogspot blog should help things get started.

    • I always add my site to the webmaster tools and it is indexed in a few days.
  • I've noticed that tweeting my site's link and posting on facebook have always got my new sites indexed within 24hrs.
