So my account got closed and i got the most generic answer ever....

For privacy and security reasons, we cannot provide details around your specific account closure, but the most common reasons that require us to close Bing Ads accounts include:

The payment method on file was not authorized by the account owner.
The account was accessed without authorization.
The account is related to an account that was previously closed.
The account was determined to be high-risk to other customers or advertisers, as stated in our Editorial Guidelines.
As described in the Bing Ads Terms and Conditions, we do not need to state a specific reason for account closure. Please know that we have taken this matter seriously and thoroughly investigated the issue. This decision is final, and we consider the issue closed.

Sincerely,

Annalyn

Even after calling them several times and opening up another account there is still no result. I have never had this problem with google adwords and i don't understand why they banned me without any warnings.... i never broke any of their rules or used any vouchers either. Anyone have any ideas? i would like to advertise on adcenter again, but it seems almost impossible.

  • Sorry to hear that you are having these issues.

If possible, can you let us know what it is that you were promoting? That may provide some insight.

  • Hello Brian,

First i would like to thank you for responding to my thread.
I was promoting a adult site, which i have promote with adwords for the past year.
  • Truthfully, the fact that you were promoting an adult site doesn't seem to fit any of the very generic reasons that they gave for closing your account.

Are you the owner of the site that you were promoting, or is it owned by a 3rd party? The only way that I can make any sense of this (as little sense as their actions make) is if the website that you were promoting happens to be owned by a 3rd party which Bing has encountered issues with.
  • It is a whitelabel site. In the future if I want to advertise another site with bing what would I need to do different, other than the site and credit card info?
  • Did you happen to use a prepaid cc by any chance? The only reason why I ask is because I have read about accounts being closed for this reason.
  • No, i used my credit card that i always use. I even tried my debit card on a new account and it got banned right away after adding the payment details. It was a new site i was going to promote also just to test.

    • Invest in a VPN that you connect to (effectively masks your IP address). Use a friends address, and get a prepaid card in a different name if possible (from your local store or something).

Everytime you access Bing, connect via your VPN, and sign-up with your friends address using the prepaid card.

  • Do they track MAC address also or just IP? Bc i can just turn off my modem and it switches the IP.

    • That is a good question that I sadly do not know the answer to.

To be safe, I would use a private proxy or VPN as @Icematikx has suggested.

I would also use a new browser that you have not used in the past in the event they are looking at your bookmarks.
  • Well i wanted to try out payday leads now with bing but i heard that is even harder to promote with ppc. Anyways ive made about 4 accounts and all have been banned as soon as i make a campaign.

    • The last few weeks there is the issue of thousands of members who said that the member of bing ads can not log in.

      PHP Code:
      community.bingads.microsoft.com/ads/en/bingads/f/8.aspx
      PHP Code:
      sitedown.co//bing-ads
    • Same thing happened to me. I was using vouchers to pay for my campaigns, then I accidentally made an account with "prepay" and had to put my credit card/paypal. That was it for me. Banned for life (at least the life of my IP!). Icematikx had a great idea to try. I'm going to look into it.

Can anyone recommend a VPN service to use for Bing? I've never used a VPN before, not familiar with it...thanks!
  • It would be good to read their terms and find what mistakes you have made..
