I wonder if anyone can help me.

My domain doesn't use the 'www' prefix. So even if you type the three 'w''s it automatically shows the web pages without them.

On my links on other sites I always include the 'w''s. Would this affect my actual domain backlinks or Google Page Rank?

Any help on this would be most appreciated.

You can fix the www vs non-www issue easily.

Open .htaccess in your server root folder and add these lines:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^yoursite\.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.yoursite.com/$1 [R=301,L]

Replace yoursite with your actual domain name

If you don't do this, links to www and without will be considered as links to different domains.

seoquake is good too if for backlink checker.

See that all the SBM sites you submitted are well ranked sites and you submitted to relevant categories.

Don't use anchor hyper linking on text(some words). Instead use it on the web address it self.
If you find text linking itself is more apt, then at least present your web-address to directly display in the content, preferably at the end of the content.
