Friends Owe Me Money: Hire Them To Do What?

I have a few friends who owe me significant money. I'm out of the loan business forever now, lol! (Thousands $ each over the years.) Each is computer savvy. How best could I have them help me with my sites? I have a network of sites that feed me leads. It's a very narrow niche and I often have 2-4 of my sites on page 1 SERP, and often #1 on Page 1. I have a bunch of parked keyword phrase domains (EMD) that are doing me no good and I need to do something with them. Either make a real site out of them or monetize them with ads, but I'd rather make them real sites. Strategy being to monopolize Page 1 SERP. It would be seriously cool to have no competitors on page 1 because I dominate it with several of my sites.

I have about 8 main sites that feed traffic and a handful of lesser performing ones that occasionally make page 1 SERP. And maybe ten more that I have never developed much. Plus dozens of parked domains. I have thought of taking, say, 4 of those main eight and really making them better and stronger so that they more often reach page 1 SERP. This way, I would dominate better.

I also want to make my #1 site even better and stronger with a complete redesign and link-building.

Any suggestions on what I could have these friends who owe me do on a daily basis? What exactly could I have them do? They are willing to "pay me back" with labor. How much to "charge" their "balance due?" They could work say, 1 hour per day.

I have also gave some of my friends and family money up front for work and have not had them do any yet. Still trying to figure out what they could do. I think I will wait until I have a system in place that gets sales, and figure out a way to have them replicate it so each new "friend" is doubling my sales, as for now, it's a 1 man job.

Have them mow the yard, wash dishes, wash/fold laundry for min. wage. They won't borrow money again.

      ^^^ This ^^^

Don't have them write articles or do SEO for you. Most people aren't in the habit of writing and are horrible at writing anything longer than a few sentences.

If people consider their websites a real business, this is exactly what
should be done at some point in time.

I would not really have friends or family involved with my money
sites. Nothing good could come from it. So, having them do
      something offline is much better.

Make them watch Matt Cutts' SEO videos. They'll never ask you for money again.

Friends make the worst employees. You're better off hiring someone you don't know (in the Philippines) and boss them about without wrecking your friendship.

Happened to me once, except I was the borrower. I wrote some materials for my friend then it's done.

Does anyone have any practical advice? If they don't work this off I may never get paid. And these guys are skilled writers. One even has SEO experience. Another is a former journalist.

I've got a bunch of parked domains. I have considered just getting them to write high quality spun sites. Then I could take what they did and make each new site even more unique. I have a very narrow niche and small sites can bring in leads from long-tail keywords.

But I am no SEO expert. I wish I knew how I could get them to find sites that would give me links. I'm more of a content guy but everybody harps on links, links, links.

You said your friends are skilled writers. So problem solved. Let them write content for your websites (most boring job ) or for guest blogging (link building) purpose. Search Google for blogs which accepts guest posts and tell your friends to write guest posts for those blogs with two links back to your websites from the article. You deduct the debit only if the guest posts are accepted by the guest blog admins.
