Yahoo and Google crawl

Yesterday, I put another site online. Here's how it went;
10:30am - bought the domain
10:35am - updated the name servers
10:45am - installed wordpress, uploaded content (7 reviews, ~1200 words each)
12:20pm - Yahoo had ranked my NEW site #4 for my keyword, Google hadn't even indexed it yet
3:45pm - now ranking #3
Around 8pm: still ranking #3
Then today, all day, ranking #4 including presently.
So - why does Yahoo crawl so fast and index right away, and Google is so slow to crawl and index?
