I know backlink building is one of the major factors in SEO.

Therefore, I'd like to have control, inspect, monitor, check status and etc ... of my backlinks that I've built.

So, What is/are the good tools that you use to do that stuffs that make your lives easier to control your backlinks?

That's not about Excel or something similar but about the tools that are suitable and made for this kind of tasks.

Backlink Monitor is the way to go for this. It manages :-
    1. Live or dead links
    2. Anchor text of links
    3. Tiered link hierarchy

All you ever need. I just set it on schedule every 2 days and I can know which links are alive and which lives I should build a tiered backlink structure too.

Advanced backlink management is indeed a must seo activity after the Penguin update, as many webmasters have to revise existing databases or get rid of potentially harmful links that may hurt site's rankings.

In WebMeUp there is a separate 'Backlinks' module, which generates a backlink database and gathers such parameters of backlinks as anchor text, PR, URL, domain age, overall number of internal and external links, backlink status (active/dead) and other important metrics. Plus, WebMeUp allows keeping track of both current pages pointing to your site and potential backlink opportunities.

I usually use ahrefs.com as a reference for which backlinks are getting crawled and when.

If you are looking for a software, InSpyder is also very good for loading up your backlinks and monitoring their statistics.

    - analytics with anchor text/kw/domain/tld distribution
    - csv import/export

run, have you tried the linkassistant tool?
It lets you keep track of the backlink you build, verify them, get information about them, etc.
Besides, it has an email client. I sometimes use it to email a person about a backlink/group of backlinks.
