[INFO Domain] Backlinks

Hey WF,

I am not exactly active at WF, but got this question that could lead to bigger things

First, Lets say we have a com and info domain with EXACTLY the same stats, same authority, in short, the same thing only with different domain extension.

So, would a backlink on the info domain would have the same power as a backlink on the com domain?

What do you think?

    All things being equal, of course. If the .info was better, then the
    .info would be better. Makes no difference on regular extensions.

    Hmm. .com and .info's are just a domain. If you'd a same authority of backlinks on both domains those are equals. if you provided some high authority backlinks to .Info domain would be great, even if someone provided more authority backlinks to .Com probably .Com domain will be higher than .info domain.

    It doesn't matter. Or, I guess I should say, in my opinion it doesn't matter. But people have been arguing that .info is crap for years now. So I'm sure plenty will disagree.

    I agree too, I am pretty sure it's all about the quality of the site, I have seen high PR, high ranked sites that were not .com's.
