So the seo section of WF is filled with creating backlink profile by using blog network to old spammy tactics for linkbuilding.
Now as social marketing is becoming popular.

How do you create fake social signals that do not look unnatural?

Create awesome content and use good call to actions to make people share it...

Seriously though if you want to create Social Signals EASILY and have it look natural.. Just use a good natural method

For example hold a contest on Facebook "1 person will randomly be selected out of all the likes for a $100 Amazon gift card"

Boom 10,000 likes in ten days

I know this isn't what you asked for but it's just food for thought!

Why do you want to create "fake" social signals?

Social signals do not increase search engine rankings (someone prove me wrong)

    Plus unearned likes/followers convert terribly.

      Yep, agreed.

I have never seen any success in buying likes, followers etc. They don't help in any kind of conversion, instead it just helps to multiply the number game, which I think is of no use.

Social signals has to occur naturally, as sovereignn said, create content that would make people share it on their profiles. Creating fake social signals is not going to help you in terms of SEO.

To me it seems a way more savvy to create natural social signals than "fake social signals that do not look unnatural". The thing is that natural shares, likes, comments and so forth are in fact a better investment in your business, because they will bring more relevant traffic and therefore more conversions are likely to happen.

It’s really hard to understand why to fake social signals, because they will work neither for search engine rankings nor online reputation. What they can do is just make a pseudo impression on visitors, but it has nothing to do with real quality.

Instead of creating fake and useless social signals it's better to spend some time elaborating and testing an SMM strategy that will work. Plus, integrate it with SEO activities and consistently monitor both. More ideas can be found here: SEO Checklist
