Anyone use voice recognition to type?

Just curious if anyone dictates to an app that types for you via voice recognition software. I wonder could I speak faster than I could type? I guess it could be cool if it really works well. What do you use it for? I was inspired by using Siri on my iPhone 5.

If you use it on your computer, what software?

    I have used it, it is very helpful, but you will have errors and need to go back and fix. I normally do a brainstorming session on mine, to get ideas jotted down.

    Dragon Naturally Speaking is a great one to use BUT it does make a lot of mistakes, even after you have "trained" it. I find that I can speak an article within 10 mins but it can take me 20 mins to then edit it. If I write an article, there's not much editing that needs doing once it is written.

      I use Dragon and love it. It makes very few mistakes, and even less as you continue to use it.

      Dragon is all I use, and have been for over 7 years now. It's only way to really crank up the content volume fast.

      Accuracy is not an issue for me though. I'm using the most up to date version and I had to test a few different headset/boom mics. The more you use it the more accurate it gets.

      Dragon is MUCH more accurate with high register voices (females). I actually talk with a high pitch to make it more accurate - my wife thinks I'm a freak.

      Of course.......................I am

      Here is a post I did back in 2006 when Dragon was much less accurate. Complete with video and silly pictures;
