How to know if my site is de-indexed

Hi All,

I had a new post of my site ranking in 17th position for a keyword and suddenly the page is not there in the top 10 pages.

Just wondering if my site is deindexed or that page only? If so how can I check that?

  • Check using the site command: site:yourdomain.com

If there's nothing there, you may have been wiped.
  • You could have lost your rankings. If this returns result (site:yourdomain.com), try building a few backlinks and ping those new links and wait for a few days... This is a Google dance effect!
  • site:domainname.com returns result around 62 results. So are you guys suggesting I keep on building more links?

    • Your site is not de-indexed. Google may be penalized that page for any reason.
  • These days there is too much fluctuation in ranking so there would be other factors as well, or wait for few days and it may come to its position...

For checking indexing, always use this command:

    site:yoursite.com
  • just try this site:xyz.com "your article keyword". If it is in google then you will see it for sure.
  • Banned
You can check to see If the individual page is indexed by site: searching the exact page URL, example:

    site:www.warriorforum.com/adsense-ppc-seo-discussion-forum/806913-how-know-if-my-site-de-indexed.html
  • If site:domainname.com this search turns 62 results from your site, it means your site is not deindexed. But it may have lost the ranking due to Google Dance. Hopefully you will get back your ranking soon. Continue building good quality links.
