Links from the same Hosting Provider

Hey guys,

Since I don't know anything about that SEO Shared Hosting whatsoever. I have some friends who started with IM and got a hostgator server.
Is it OK to host my satelite sites on these servers (Linking to my Money Site)
I mean anyway I have bout 100 referring domains so 3-4 Hostgator domains should not matter, right?

Cheers

  • That would leave a massive

For Google to find your network. The network your using to try manipulate their Search Engine.

They keyword for today is "Diversify"
  • If the referring domains are all coming from one IP or C block, you are going to raise some flags.

You want to spread them out over different hosting companies, using different themes/layouts to reduce the footprint as much as possible.

    • I see what you mean.

However, if there are like 3 referrring Domains from different Hostgator plans, comparing to the other 100 referring domains, it's only 3% so? Those were my thoughts.
  • You would still get benefit!

    Think, how internal links work!

    • Don't see the context here tbh
  • If you want the most bang for your buck, then you will want all of the sites in your network to come from different hosts (i.e.different ip addresses).
