Get .info or use hyphen

For a website / blog about nature would you rather have...

greatbrand.info
great-brand.com

And greatbrand.com is taken.

EDIT: The "greatbrand" comment has nothing to do with a trademarked name, I just mean that in the nature community, my keyword domain is brandable, it's catchy, somewhat memorable. Just trying to figure out whether to buy the .info or the .com, which has a hyphen.

  • It doesn't really matter, although domains with hyphens look pretty spammy.

      What are you talking about man? It may be hard to remember for the traffic but no way you can tell a domain with hyphens spammy.

  • I'd be a little put off. By taking any brand name and using it in your domain name in the first place. Especially as a light weight affiliate with empty pockets.

    When they see you banking too much off their brand name. Things could get real ugly.

    I would never risk it.

    Being a good affiliate. Means you have to earn, with your own style and twist.
    It does not mean, try to steal from, what the brand has already achieved by itself.

    • No, "greatbrand" does not mean an existing, trademarked branded name. I was just referring to a keyword domain that has a nice ring to it in the realm of a nature blog. Just trying to figure out whether to buy the .info or the .com, which has one hyphen.

  • greatbrand.info will be better than great-brand.com.
  • I would advice you to for the .info rather than hyphen but it really depends on the content of the site , if you are having good content you can have a good seo for the site
