I just so massage on Google keyword tool that in following months external keyword tool will no longer be available.
#search engine optimization #google #history #keyword #tool
  • Will there be a replacement for it? If this is true, this will be a GOLDMINE for keyword research WSOs

    • It's not being removed completely, you'll just have to login to your Adwords account to access it.

    • I think you are not right because almost all the keyword tools are using google keyword tool to bring results.
    • It'll also make 99% of the current keyword WSOs obsolete.

A lot of the keyword software out there right now pulls data from Google in one way or another.. if they did away with it all together it'd be too big of an opportunity for someone besides google to profit.. I'm not sure they'd let something like that happen.

  • This sounds quite bad. Than we need to look for other alternatives. Didn't they say if they would create a new tool instead?
  • I've always used paid services for keyword research but these are really bad news as I recommend this to all my new students... hope there'll be an alternative.

  • To get ideas for keywords, log in to your adwords account and try the keywords planner, new service, but you must be logged in.
  • Yeah! bad news i used it frequently to get the keyword suggestions as well as to know the GMS and LMS.
  • Then I'll go with relates searches....
  • Yep, I read this notice also on many legitimate sources.
Google is just destroying all what doesn't produce money, the idea is simple.
I think also Google Alert will go away very soon.

But there's a world apart to discover, luckily

    • I just tried Google's new Keyword Planner, and it crashed!
  • If you rely on google you must excpect more than this
  • I feel the new "Planner" data is more accurate than the previous one. But, seem confusing at the time. Ah! I might need to dig and learn more about it from now on!
  • It seems like Google is always doing things to make my life more difficult.
  • Maybe the one on YouTube will still be online..
  • When they Keyword Planner is out, I thought it replacement for Google keyword tool. Am I wrong on this?

There is a article on the different both of them : https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/3141229?hl=en
  • I hope not! As I use this a lot for my own research and also advise my clients to use it. Would this also effect any paid services if Google is stopping this?

    • The tool is only being more tightly integrated with Adwords, that's it (atleast this is what it looks like for the time being) but yes, it may be little turnoff for few people.

Also Google has its different terms of service for paid services who uses the API (you can't use the adwords keyword research tool for free for commercial purpose), for example, I wanted to use Google for keyword research for inBoundio but wasn't too comfortable with them as they pulled the plug from similar product like mine.
