Notice a decrease in CPC numbers?

Hi everyone, just last week or so Google adwords launched their new keyword tool. I think it's called a keyword planner now.

Has anyone noticed a decrease in the Average CPC metrics when doing research with this new tool? I've seen some of them drop from $4.17 to $3 and even more drastically, $7.78 to $4.37.

I rent out websites to business owners for a living so this means bad news for me as I'll have to charge them a lower monthly fee.

If anyone has more information about this, please let me know!

Why on earth would you reduce your rates because of what Google does with their CPC?

I guarantee there's plenty of sites in every niche that would rather rank organic than fart around with Google Adword guidelines/rules/TOS/banned/etc...

Stick to your guns.

  I price the website rental based on the Average CPC of the keywords. That is how I justify the rather high price I charge.
  
  I don't know how else to price my services. Any pointers?
