Can I rank In This niche ?

I've a e commerce website set up on a profitable niche which has over 22000 monthly exact searches.The google keyword tool shows the competition is high but the site ranking on the first page only has 200 backlinks.So, Would it be easy for me to rank in that niche for that keyword.

    • Definitely you can rank your site by regular but quality work. Just try to get quality back links, in my experience Content sharing, comment posting, forum posting and social bookmarking can gives you desired result.
  • It's not the competitors for the site ranking but competitors for the keywords that you're aiming to use Adwords.

    It's not impossible to rank the site in the first page, but who know exactly that you could or not? Even you see 200 backlinks but exactly another backlinks which are not yet grabbed. There're another factors that should be taken into consideration.

    How about what kind of those backlinks, what kind of that sites, what kind of the fame, what kind of their reputation, what kind of their authority ...?

    For sure, there's nothing that is impossible!

    • The competition rating in the GKT refers to the competition among advertisers (not organic listings).

      You also need to take into consideration on page SEO, the quality of the backlinks, the other sites in the SERPs, etc.

      I would never advise someone that they can "definitely" rank in a niche without knowing the niche. If only it were that easy.
    • I also used the same tool to check the backlinks it shows 200 but when i checked it using majestic Seo tool it shows 470 Referring domains and 8,300 external backlinks.
      So, I'm confused which one to consider.

  • Depends on the amount of work and time you gave to your site. You see the opportunity, you grab it!
  • You can rank in any niche. All that matters is page #1 competition.

  • The competition on Google adword tool is mainly for adword users. To determine SE ranking you need to analyze the backlinks, PR and on site SEO of the top 10 sites.

    No offense but If you don't already know the Google Keyword Tool Competition column is only for Adwords/PPC, you probably won't rank in organic SERPs.

    Can you define about your site or which keywords you are going to target for your website. Because to get rank on a particular on first page you need to analyze about your keyword or your website.
    If your website/domain is fresh then select long tail keywords.
  • Yes you can get high ranking easily as you got it up to first page already. need to create more back links and high amount of regular traffic.
