How to know if my blog posts or articles are indexed by Google?

Hello,

Expert Warriors say to first publish on one's own site first before submitting to article directories.

Now, my question is how will I know if Google indexed my article or blog post, so that I may submit it to article directory?

I am using Wordpress.

Thanks,
Coconut Isa.

Or just copy some of the article and drop it in quotes into Google.

Grab some a sentence of your content and Google it in quotation marks.

Google will show the link where it came from which should be yours. If it appears it will be indexed.

Kind of off subject - but one approach I would take to secure that you're getting credit is to make sure that you've put it into your "links" section of your Google+ page. You've got to keep this up and build your Google authorship. Do that, and it'll pay off a little quicker than without doing it.

      Will do. Thanks.

You can also search for the specific URL of the page.

      For example:

      http: // www . yoursite .com/ link-to-the-blog-article

If you search for that on Google and it appears, that means it has already been indexed.

Well this is helpful. I've been googling my article titles. -_-

Is there a way to determine the numerical rank for keyword phrases of a particular article? Like, if I had an article, "Finding a Job as an English Major," which I do, is there a way to determine that your article is... say... 6th, or 7th for the keyword phrase "Jobs as an English Major?" Other than just searching it and looking through pages on Google.

    Thank you everyone.

I tried the following suggested by tpw
    Google "cache:URL" without the quotes.

and it worked, it showed as of June 23rd.

Now, as and when I post the article and blog post, any idea how long they usually take to index?

    Thanks,
    Coconut Isa.

Okay, every time I post a blog post, I should go to google and do
        "cache:URL"

        for example:

        "cache:http://www.mysite.com/my-long-key-word-post-one"?

        Thanks.

That depends. It might take a few hours to a week. Post your links at social netwirks like twitter to speed up the process.
