Buying google +1 and twitter followers plus Facebook Likes

Is it safe to buy google +1 and twitter followers and Facebook likes? According to a number of search metrics this is an essential part of SEO. Is there anyway to buy real followers or are they all bot accounts. Will Google eventually find out and penalise my money account or will they just ban the social media account.

Cheers,
Seamy

You can buy likes, followers and +es, but there is no added value to that. It will not affect your SEO, just waste of time and money

This flies in the face of a lot of what I have been hearing. Why is there no value in it? Even Justin Bieber does this.

It's been proven, over and over, it's dumb and a waste of time.

Why ask if you're just going to ignore the answer?

Go buy as much as you can choke on!

Can you link me to some of this proof? Preferably something within the last 6 months.

Usually I would agree with you, but after recently reading this I have started to consider differently.

I mean sure, the correlation between websites with good backlinking and those that are popular on Facebook, Twitter and Google should be obvious. But in the long run it would make sense for Google to look more into a websites social profile in terms judging how useful it is. Not to mention this would be a great way for Google to push their social platforms by making them the most valuable part of getting your website popular.

It might possibly be "safe," I don't know for sure one way or the other. But I have yet to hear from anyone reputable (people who can document success with it) that buying social signals helps in SERPs. I believe being active in social media can drive direct traffic to a site. And I believe over time Google will try to incorporate social signals in determining SERPs. But I don't think that's the case now.

Why waste your time and money?

Show me the website that is ranking based on social signals. I have yet to find one that is ranking largely on social signals alone.

I have purchased tweets and fb likes to make a new site look like it's not new. I don't do it for any other purpose. I definitely don't buy any g+ or youtube views/likes for any reason.
