Disavow Tool

Hey, has anyone ever used the Disavow tool? I'm about to use it. My question is in regards to uploading the list/excel sheet. Can I provide just the main domain? Or does it need the EXACT URL as to where the link is coming from?

    Both really..

    Here's a sample of a valid file:

    # example.com removed most links, but missed these
    http://spam.example.com/stuff/comments.html
    http://spam.example.com/stuff/paid-links.html
    # Contacted owner of shadyseo.com on 7/1/2012 to
    # ask for link removal but got no response
    domain:shadyseo.com
    If you want Google to ignore all links from an entire domain (like example.com), add the line domain: example.com.

    Upload a list of links to disavow

    Go to the disavow links tool page.
    Select your website.
    Click Disavow links.
    Click Choose file.

      Hmm yeah I want a link removed because the overall site is shitty/dangerous/malware/porn etc. So maybe I can just provide just the main URL?

      At times, I can't find the "Exact" link. Only thing that's provided for me is the main URL. And webmasters only give the top 1,000. And so I have to manually look for it, but I have to go through 100,000+ URLS.

        If the whole site is crap then yeah, simply block the whole domain.
        About the 100k links go with webmaster tools + ahrefs + link detox , then go manually through those picked bad links and cut them out. Far more faster and far more cost effective.

      You put it in an excel sheet and submit it in webmaster to that's it

    I have not used disavow tool. I am not going use it unless I get any bad link pointing warning in webmaster tools.
