    Hi, Both are off page activities. And the difference is, Bookmarking is used for fast crawling our website and Press release are like news, it is used to aware people about new update regarding launching any product in a company. :p

    Hello, Social bookmarking and press release are totally different from each other.
    Social bookmarking enables us to store, manage and share links on the web and help us to get traffic for our post. It gives us traffic and backlink which helps us to increase pr of our site.
    But Press release Is just like a news which will convey a clear message & provide us traffic only for a short time after some time it loses it value. It is used only for short term.

    my point of view Social Bookmarking and Press release is not same because in Social Bookmarking we submit story and in Press Release we submit only news.

    They are different things. Press Release is used for news, such as product announcement. Social bookmarking is for building back links. There seems some social bookmarking site which you can submit stories and news. It is not the same as the traditional bookmarking site.
