Ok guys I know it's a popular topic but I want to hear it from the pros.
I recently purchased a adsense home imporvement site that makes a decent amount of income from adsense . The main source of traffic is from email marketing which I pay for. The list that the provider uses is CANspam approved and is from double opt in homeowners . What do you think about this method?
Is this a completely legitimate way of doing business? Should I not have adsense on the landing page but on the rest of the pages of the site? Do away with this method all together or what? I am concerted because my adsense account has another site on it which is all organic and is definaltely not in any sort of adsense violation.

I would like to hear your educated opinion thank you.

They do not want links in unwanted emails.

They do not want visitors from emails to be the
    overwhelming source of traffic.

I do email marketing all the time.

You can send visitors to a page that does not have adsense.
    6 degrees of separation.

There used to be a way of putting adsense in emails, I
think via rss or something. But rss adsense is gone as
    far as I recall.

Thanks Paul. No I am not putting adsense in the emails themselves. But the site that the emails send the recipients to has adsense on it.

It might do ok depending on your niche and CPC.... however you'd probably be more profitable promoting affiliate offers via email and building your list.

I milked Adsense in my emails when Google allowed the Feedburner/Adsense Ads inside of my Feedburner email list, every time I bumped the date on old evergreen blog post it would send out a new Adsense/email, lol, I milked that setup (Adsense inside emails) for a long time.

OP, I don't see a problem sending email traffic to your Adsense pages as long as it's legit targeted traffic. Legit targeted traffic will click the Adsense ads on your pages because they're interested in the Adsense ads & that same traffic will follow through with the Adsense clicks (purchase, optin, etc...) for the Adwords advertisers. Google is smart about junk traffic (just saying).

BTW, I still have those old Feedburner email list & bump them every now & then back to my Adsense sites. No problems here.

One thing I've learned about bumping email list, they get pissed off If they get more than 2-3 emails spread out over a week (lesson learned).
