How to check the local version of Google search

Hi all,

I'm trying to check if organic searches to my sites are from Google.com or a local version of Google (such as Google.com.de, google.com.my, etc.)

I can't seem to find this information from Google Analytics.

There is, however, info on language and country of the searches. However it can not be accurately deduced the version of google from these info.

This info, I think, is important because I need to know which version of google to optimize for. The rankings on google.com and its local versions are quite different.

Thanks all.

  • Type in:

    google.com/ncr
    google.se/ncr
    google.ca/ncr

    etc.. ncr = no redirect
  • You can install this extension for Chrome and Firefox "SEO Global For Google Search" comes with some basic countries, but you can also add your own selection of countries to it. Once you search for something google you just click on the icon on the top toolbar and choose the country you want the search results from. Easy to use.
