Hello,

If I purchased high PR domains and put relevant content to my niche and put a link to them, does this still work good and is it worth it?

Thanks.

    Yes and Yes!!

Creating your own high pr blog network is one of the best ways to rank right now and it's the only way to compete in competitive markets.

Don't go diving into things you don't understand fully yet. If you insist on proceeding with your network. With the current knowledge you have.
It will be a very costly experience.

Also keep in mind that there are other factors to consider with a domain in a blog network besides page rank, although page rank is important also.

I would recommend starting with a network of five to ten blogs all on different ips, etc. of page rank 2 or 3. Pick a low competition term to build a money site around. Now change each blog to that subject and start linking to your money site and get it ranked.

There are many more details I won't get into, but that is the gist of it.

Once you know what you are doing move on to bigger and better terms and more powerful domains in your network. Just a thought...

This is at train wreck level.

RED ALERT!!! SCOTTY CANNY HEAR ME...SHE CANNY NEEE MORE CAPTAIN>>>>

Your at a domain buying stage in the process. And you don't understand the basic concepts properly.
Your going to end up with some stupid looking 5 article blogs with absolutely no value to anything. Stick out like a sore thumb. And get reported by a competitor. ZAPPPO Bang goes your entire investment.

Just take a few steps back a minute man. That's all I'm saying.

I wonder whether it will be a problem in the future that people are taking domains that have backlinks from sites in another niche and just changing the niche to what they want when they rebuild the site for their blog network.

This may work now but i imagine google will have a problem with this in the future? Best to try to acquire domains from within your niche with backlinks in your niche don't you think?

      Yes
I'm about 2 years ahead of you on this one. And maybe Google too then. I always go out of my way to find domains, with the highest % of diverse anchor history. And also, priority No1 would always be to look for expired niche related domains first. That goes without saying.
Tools like Majestic SEO give you a good idea of link histories.

        Thanks Kevin,

Can you point me in the right starting direction?

        Thanks.

Yes the right direction is, straight back to square one. And learn the full details about what a Private Blog Network is, how to build one properly without leaving footprints. How to research for domains, Web Design, SEO, Blog Network management platforms, Content sources, Content Updating, blah blah blah.

Then com back here with questions about $$$ cost of domains.

Yes, it works but you need to protect them from Google detecting its a link network. Like separating your blogs in your network into different ip, adding content with different links to cover up, etc

High pr blogs are very useful if managed correctly. I would suggest not making it look like a blog that is purely there for link building. So add in about and contact pages and try to include a few posts that arent solely for the purposes of link building.

Look, I'm just trying to save you money. If you don't know exactly what your doing. You will get burned.
If your really impatient. And want a Private Network. Set up an Ad in the Warriors Needed section. Asking for someone with good experience, and pay them an hourly or per site rate to set each up.

Make sure you know what you are doing before you decide to do this.

Ive had many friends try and do this themselves and make stupid mistakes to end up having their whole network deindexed. One guy spent close to$50k and didnt see any return from it before it was zapped.

Leave it to the pros if you are hesitant at all

to Be honest it does not take being a rocket scientist but a lot of people here in this forum and in WSOs have tried to make it like its as easy as going to godaddy, buying a domain and setting it up with wordpress. Shucks I have even been accused MULTIPLE TIMES of trying to rip people off by saying its not that easy and they might want to learn more about it (because people know I offer a course on it).

Theres no way that someone should blow their whole network if they are doing things right but people read a blog post saying "just do this and that" and thats all there is to it.

Protecting and properly utilizing your network is ten times more important than just knowing how to bid on an auction and check backlinks. People are penny wise and pound foolish. they will buy a PR5 for $600 and cry about the little cheap things they can do to protect that investment. still wish your friend the best. it must have been awful to wake up one day and realize poof! $50,000 just vanished.
