how many visitors do i need for a good niche

im new to im and im trying to make money via adsense and have a couple of questions

lets say i use the keyword: X


and it says for example in GKT: 10 000 global monthly searches and 1000 local monthly searches with an approximate cpc of $0.30 for that specific keyword


my questions are
how many clicks will i get on my website with these stats when im nr 1 in google

do i have to look at the global montly searches or local monthly searches?

lets say i look at the global monthly searches of 10 000 on my keyword

how many of those visitors will click on my link when its nr 1?

now lets say its 7000 that will click on my website because its on nr 1
how many of those 7000 will click on my ad via adsense?

i want to get a feel whats the minium amount of visitors to earn some decent money and hope someone can help me out .

    1). Impossible to say, but generally 70% of the local count.

    4). Can't tell, not a psychic. Generally it's anywhere from .05 to 2%. I would stay away from Adsense, why do you want to send people away from your website?

    5). Don't depend on just search engine traffic, but I have a rule of at least 4000 local searches/ month.

    I will use ROI as my indicator. if my EPC is lower than my cost , i will give that keyword up.

    It cannot be answered so easily. It depends on the nature of visitor and how much attractive the title tag(which displays in Google search). But being in top 1, you can achieve a CTR of 50% or above.

    If your niche is local market oriented, concentrate the local search. If it has a global effect, you can consider global search volume.

    Adsense CTR for me is less than 2%. Perhaps you can check the average CTR of websites by referring Google.

      im living in the netherlands so my local searches are always very low so im guessing ill have to look at the global searches because i want to make money trough commissions or adsense.
