    Yes. Agree.

You must put the right keyword, choose your right audience and still there is a chance that you have end up with no sales at the end of the day. Getting top position with a popular keyword has become too costly.

If you do not do your homework well, don't track your campaign ROI and don't monitor the campaign performance and constantly change your strategy as per feedback, there is a chance you will lose all your money without a sale.

I wondered if some people might not understand the question so let me clarify.

I wasn't asking if running a campaign is difficult or costly. I was talking about managing adwords accounts for other companies.

In other words, just for example, lets say there were 1,000 top-notch adwords management companies. If that were the case, I'm sure the market would be way over saturated.

So far, from the little research I've done, it looks like a really competitive market but would love to hear from others who have more experience.

Agree that it's somewhat competitive; but I still think there's still plenty of room (and money) for lots of folks to get in. Call it positive naivete, but looking at the job market - there are plenty of ppc / sem management positions available. That's indicative of a growing job segment. So, yes, the competition is definitely there... but again, I think there's still plenty of room for even the "little guy" to get in.

    I disagree a little.

It is getting saturated but I do not think it is over saturated. I stay in Kolkata, India and I recently joined a Google Engage Free Training program supported with a grand lunch. I did not find a big crowd over there. But a training program on Web Design are always over crowded. Here PPC/Web Design companies normally work on overseas outsourced projects and I assume this could be a refection of the world market today. I think there are still good chances of getting new clients. At least much much less competitive than web development and SEO services.
