Now I am not new, but am a re-emerging blogger. What I mean is that I have never really made any money from blogging, but I am currently looking at getting back at it. I have a few pages set up, but mainly only earn from Hubpages. Now my blogs are on BlogSpot which I know are not real good revenue generators.

I guess I should get to the question at hand. How can I start earning more with AdSense today?

    Apply for adsense maybe ?
And then add adsense code to your blog would be a good start

Personally I would suggest you set up a self hosted blog, that way you have more control over plugins etc. A lot of it's down to colors and placements as well as very crucially, ad sizes. You have far more flexibility with all of these if you have your own (hosted) blog.
Also you need to find out if you adsense account is just a hubpages one or a fully approved one, if not then your adsense ads won't show when the code is placed on a self hosted site.
    Hope that helps

Blogspot is SEO'd out the box, and allows you full reign on
anything from colors to ad placement. You do not
have greater fexibility with your own site. You can
do pretty much anything to a blogspot blog that you
can do to your own site, codewise, that is. And google
      has made it sooooooooooooooooooooooooo easy.

And since one would need to be at the mercy of
wordpress or some other CMS, unless they hand code,
why not just go the easy route with blogspot?

Why more people don't do blogspot, is beyond me.

Google has created the perfect blogging platform with
blogger, the same way they have created the perfect
platform to share videos with youtube. Okay, they did
not create them, just bought them and made them better.
Exactly the way google wants it done. Why would you turn
your nose up at a platform that google does that with?

But for all of you who don't use blogger for whatever reason,
like ones above, I hope you don't use youtube. Much better
to host your own vids, right?

Totally different scenario, if you put a video on youtube it will get views simply by being on youtube. That's great exposure that normally you would be paying for someone to do. You put up a blog on blogspot and you still have to build links and promote it on social media or else all you will hear is the sound of silence as absolutely no one finds it.

First, I have an AdSense account.

Second it is a fully functional account, I have a few ads placed a couple Blogger blogs that I have.

Third, what I want to do is start earning $100 a month. I can earn more of course, but I have yet to receive a check from Google and cant wait until I am able to earn more.

My two main blogs are Buffalo Bills News and Opinions and My Fat Free Goal

How much you earn from adsense really depends on three things: your niche, traffic, and your CTR. Adsense now has a new feature to help optimize your ads for clicks that could prove useful. They also have a feature on how to increase your page speed which helps because if your page loads faster more people will see your ads.

To make money from adsense you are better off starting with your own site and keeping all the earnings 100% instead of using ad sharing site like Hubpage.

The same adsense code you use on Hubpage can still be used on your new blog or site.

Just ensure you pick the right niche.

Find low to medium competition keywords.

Ensure the CPC are $1+ for 3,500 global searches and probably less for 9,900+ searches.

Create your contents around this keywords and optimize them,

Setup your pages and in accordance with Google Policy and also rightly for high conversion.

Rank on Google for your keywords..

My niche is something that I am working on currently. First I have my weight loss blog. This blog is to allow others to follow me in my journey to a better health. And I have a my sports blog. Its mainly about the Buffalo Bills. Now, I have yet to earn anything from either one of them, but I am working hard on it. Just need to find more content for my health blog.

It seems that weight loss is a niche that is quite saturated with competition. Not that it scares me in any way, because I am all for competition. I just want to start earning quicker.

@Johnben1444 can you give me some keyword research pointers. I think that maybe what I need the most.
