How to rank for ".net Programmer"?

Hi Guys, I have been trying to rank for ".net Programmer" and trying to use "#" infront of "net" instead of ".net" as # tag does not work before "." or period symbol. Any help would be much appreciated.

      Ok I think I will paraphrase my question- There are 2 parts in my question, as in I am facing 2 problems-
      1) We use # tag for twitter tweets which are being talked about, now if I use"#" symbol infront of ".net" it is not recognised,so how to overcome this problem?(as in I want google to show/index all my discussions with #.net #programmer and the link associated with those keywords)
      2) I am trying to rank in top 10 on google with the keyword ".net Programmer", so if I use the above strategy, will it help? Plus I am doing regular tweets,fb,linkedin,google+,article writing and blogging.

      Another thing is I want to rank fast with this keyword, approx. how many links should I build each day?
