Affect of datacenters on SEO

I wanna know if using a hosting provider(hostgator) having datacenters in my country will affect my rankings in US.

    Not really. Do some searches for local cities, then trace their sites back to see where they're hosted. Typically no where near that location.

    Infrastructure that's beyond your control doesn't effect rankings.

    Matt Cutts recently announced this on his blog. If your site goes down because of hosting problems - you won't be penalized for it.

    From what I know datacenters have no direct impact on your seo but it has an indirect response on it in terms of your website's loading speed.

    If your datacenter is located in the US and your visitor is coming from Asia, your website will load slower compared to if your datacenter is located in Asia.

    Hope that makes sense.

    A good way for this is to setup a CDN like Cloudflare. They have multiple datacenters located around the world which will load your website according to your visitors' location. I have written more about it in my guide in speeding up your website here.

    I second SeoAce's advice. It's an indirect impact, because it will affect your sites speed. There are tools (caching, CDN) to to improve speed though.
