Custom Google Search Bar/Box

Hey,

I was thinking instead of using my CMS's search box to implement Google's Search Box for additional revenue. However, I do not wish for my viewers to see that it's Google's search.

Is is somehow possible to use my own CSS/design for how the search bar will look like? Example: realcartips.com - the guy used Google's search bar at the top, but you can't really tell until you actually search.

Any tips on how to accomplish this?

Thanks!

    • Technical overview:
      https://www.google.com/cse/docs/cref.html

Quite technical. However, I always like showing the google
label, either watermark or logo. People love google. Why
not show them something they love and trust?

  • Yes their is a way to remove the Google branding logo. You have to upgrade your cse account. Then go to the look and feel section click the customize tab, select Google branding then check the Disable Google Branding check box.
  • You can upgrade for $100 here is how:

To convert an existing custom search engine: to Google Site Search:
On the Custom Search home page, click the search engine you want.
    Click Setup
In the Edition section of the Basics tab, click Upgrade to Site Search
