Hi.. Warriors,

We know there are like 200 different factor indicators G uses in its algo.. something like that, right? ..

My question is, Do you think... "Using data from Adsense" might be one of them, and maybe a real important one?

For example, if you had multiple sites in Adsense and some you know were penalized for various reasons, could that affect another site you might have that is otherwise squeaky clean?

I'm thinking yes, even tho that seems unfair.

  • No one knows for sure, but it's definitely possible.

    If I was Google I'd definitely want to find groups of spammy sites so I could take them out of the index all at once. And if there's an obvious footprint on every site, like Adsense on all the sites, then I'd use that.

    • Possibly yes, Hosting with the same network is also consider factor by Google. If they find some suspicious activity then G will scan all domains with your network.

      Note: It is not fair to hit other good quality sites because of one bad domain only.(Which violates Quality parameters)

  • They have mentioned this already in the past that they do not share information about websites across different teams.

    The adsense team does not share information to web spam team and analytics team and vice versa.
  • It's possible but I do not think that this is the only basis for G to spam/block sites.
  • While I have never seen concrete data to support that using adsense could affect all your sites if one is harmed it would make sense that this very much possible and very easy for them to do.

    Chances are if you violate their terms of service with one domain, the others are liekly using the same type of linkbuilding methodology.
  • Look into smart pricing for adsense. One bad site can have a negative impact on your whole account.
