After a server crash my website ranking lost

Nah its gone, just forget about the whole idea. It was never going to work to begin with.

I am sorry about that but you just have to restart and build links again to get your rankings/traffic back up. Updating your website daily, pinging new links on your site, and building good backlinks will help a lot.

Not sure whether a server crash has anything to do with it, as the big hosting companies have server crashes from time to time, and this would mean all sites under their wings would experience similar drops in rankings and traffic(which is unlikely).

The only thing server side that I think would cause this, is if you were playing around with your file manager or data bases, and something got messed up.

If you have multiple sites under one host, and you play around in your Cpanel you can accidentally mess up your site whilst doing work(changes) there.

Or you end up messing up one of your other sites file setting and structure, whilst working on another site.....It can happen!

I should know, as I have done this before, and it affected my sites performance and also my rankings.





As others have mentioned, you will need to start building up from where you have dropped off.

Check server side for any data base and file issues or conflicts that may have resulted in the sudden drop.

Also, possibly go through your site(s) and look for any performance issues or code errors.

How long was it down?
If it was just a few days, the ranking usually rebound.
