Hey Warriors,

I get many requests daily to reveal the exact keyword research process I use to rank my SEONuking DFY service members sites..

So I have decided to share the exact keyword research blueprint here with all my warrior friends.. You dont need any software or paid tool, this all can be done using free tools..

We have created hundreds of sites using this same process and have helped lot of our members get on page 1 of Google..

Hope this will help you come up with many golden keywords..

============

In this process you will learn how to find a Golden Keyword, analyzing the Competition, finding PPC Advertisers and Cost per click, searching a Domain and finally creating a Website for that Keyword.

For Example: A user is typing “Skin Care” then Google will give results with best Skin Care Products such as Face wash, Moisturizing Creams, Soaps, etc. Here “Skin Care” is the keyword typed by the user.

Second Example: Suppose a user is typing in “Weight Loss” then Google will give the results including weight loss supplements, weight loss drinks, weight loss equipments etc.

Mission:
Find a buying keyword with at least 1,000 exact monthly searches.

Examples of the Buying Keywords are:
Products, Medicines, Machines, Pet Supplies, Electronics Items etc.

For Targeting a Golden Keyword we must have a Broad Niches first.
Now what does a Broad Niches refers to ?

Broad niches can also be called as a Category that provides different Keywords.

Examples of Broad Niches are:
Health and Fitness, Medicines, Machineries, Home Accessories, Automobiles, Electronics etc.

By taking Broad niches we can start searching for a Keyword.

Free Tools:

Google Adwords Keyword Tool
Namecheap.com
Keywordspy.com
Google Trend

Step 1: Finding a Broad Niche

You can use the following Websites to find Broad Niches:

amazon
ebay
alibaba
target
zappos

There are many more sites that from where you can find niche ideas.

The common categories available in these sites are:

Accessories
Home & Gardening
Health & Medicines
Electronics
Skin Care & Beauty Products
Automobiles
Pet Supplies
Machineries
Computer
Office & School supplies
Sports & entertainment
Gifts & Crafts

Once you select a Broad Niche, you can proceed for the second step.

For Example: Let’s take a Broad Niches as “Health” which is our broad category.

To make it more specific let’s take “Body Building Supplements” which is our broad niches.

Step 2: Finding a Golden Keyword by digging the broad niches:

In second step we try to find a keyword by digging broad niches.

How can we consider a keyword as a “Golden Keyword”?
When it satisfies all the conditions which are listed below:

1. It must be a Buying Keyword.
2. It must have at least “1000” Exact Global Monthly Searches.

We enter all the keywords in https://adwords.google.com/o/KeywordTool

To find the “Exact Global Monthly Searches” for the Keyword and also it’s related Keywords. The Exact Global Monthly Searches should be at least “1000”.

3. It should have low Competition

We use US Google Search to analyze the Competition https://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en

The Competition analysis are based on Forums, Yahoo Answers, Documents with other file extensions such as “DOC”, “PDF”, “PPT”, Word press Sites on the first page of Google.

4. It must have PPC Advertisers & good CPC,

We use keywordspy to check the PPC Advertisers and CPC.

5. It should have an “Upward” trend.

We use Google Trends to see the trend for the Keyword.
Let us Search a Keyword now following the above points.

NOTE: Remember we took Body Building Supplements as our broad niche in our last step. Now we are going to dig this broad niches to find a golden keyword for which we need to select a keyword first.

For Instance: We typed “Body Building Supplements” and got some keywords such as “muscle building supplements” & “protein supplements” etc by digging some more we got a product as “muscletech whey protein” .

Now we are targeting on “muscletech whey protein”. Let’s see whether it satisfy all our conditions or not.

Condition 1: It must be a Buying Keyword:
Yes, it is a buying keyword as it is a Product.

Condition 2: It must have at least “1000” Exact Monthly Searches:
Yes, it has 2,400 Monthly Searches.

Condition 3: It should have “Low Competition”:

Yes, it has low competition as we can find a Forum on Google’s first page which means this keyword has got less competition.

Condition 4: It must have PPC Advertisers and CPC:

Yes, it has PPC Advertisers- 11 & CPC: $1.14.

Condition 5: It should have an “Upward Trend”:

Hurray! We have a Winner here. See how simple it is to find a Golden Keyword from a various Broad Niches.

I guess your talking about monetizing with Adsense?

That $1.14 CPC on Keywordspy is from Google Search API, it's not the Display Network Ads for Adsense. Google Search CPC is almost always way higher than the Display Network.

You'll never rank 100% of every single Google search for each country so looking at Global data is useless. Google has well over 100 country search engines. Look at Local data, the country search your targeting.

  • Nice post but I think it's definitely for begginers.
When you see " medium competition" "low competition" it doesn't mean that's so easy to rank for that keyword in the first page of Google, I would suggest to analyse first the 10 website of the 1st page first before investing money in building website...etc

Obviously it's for beginners, anyone that knows what they're doing knows looking at Global data & expecting that data to carry over to Local SERPs is a fail.
  • The post that you have shared with us teaches us or even refreshses those who have been doing this in looking for keyword in google adword tool. This is the best site for me when looking for a keyword to write on. It gives you all the datas to a particular word or phrase.

  • thanks for such great info..
  • It's a well detailed guide. I would just do an addition that people shouldn't miss.

Competition should be researched further. There are a couple of things to pay attention in order to determine if the keyword has low competition.

Checking the top 10 results, you should look for this signs:
-if there are lots of sites ranking instead of pages, this is a bad sign
-pages backlinks (less than 20 is ideal)
-pagerank, at least less than 3
-if the results have the keyword in the page title
    -page authority
-if there are other niche sites ranking in the top 10, this is a good sign

This would give you a better idea of keyword competitiveness.
