I spending some time to learn SEO. I like to know what are the important areas of SEO. I know On page Optimisation, Off Page Optimisation, Linkbuilding are some important elements. Is there any more important elements in SEO. I want to become an Expert in SEO

    • On page and off page optimization are both part of SEO. but applying these techniques effectively are more important aspect to do better. copailibilty of website with search engine play a vital role in optimization. here comes quality content, keywords density, user friendly structure, Url canonicalization, user reviews, quality link building, linking with trusted and authority sites.

  • To become an expert of SEO, it will take you years of observation, reading, practicing. Because the form of SEO is dynamic and it is changing almost everyday. Though the basics are the same.

    After On Page optimization, I would like to say the most important part of SEO is backlink building which falls into the off page optimization.

    But you have to know how to do it..

    content = fresh and quality content so that it would be shared too..
    backlinks = should look natural to Google...

    And prevent over optimizing in the broadest sense of the word

  • Important is Onpage seo first.
    Have in mind some things like image alt tags and the % of your keywords and how unique are your article are super important factors.

    The offpage then (you have to do a good Onseo to see the right results) is all about the strategy you follow. What kind of links you are about to create etc.etc.

    Important elements in SEO is content and quality backlinks, so try to increase them and you will get high rankings for your website.
  • Learn the basics. Rely on SEO data. Automate SEO data acquisition.

    No dude srsly. Learn by doing. Pick up good blogs where you can learn a lot and don't visit this forum that often.
  • Hey, well on page and off page cover everything, so you need to make sure you've done a lot of research into SEO techniques. To be honest it's not something you can learn overnight, but if you create the right industry contacts then that's half the battle.

  • As you mentioned that you've already known about on-page and off-page activities then I'd not like to repeat this... For being a expert in SEO you must be expert on SMO (social media optimization) it's a complimentary strategy as far as I think.
  • A couple of major factors in addition to what has already been mentioned above as far as off-page is concerned are:

    1. Link velocity (the pace at which links are built); and

    2. Link diversity (the variety of anchor text backlinks)


    I also agree with @koushikseo that social media is beginning to play a major factor in SEO (social signals).
