New to WF, few questions about SEO

Hello warriors! I have lurked this forum for a few weeks now and have learned a few things. So i decided to join the community be an official warrior.
Anyhow i have a question about SEO, im new to this whole SEO idea. I want to make a website about my main niche and have several pages on that website, each page having it's own sub-niche, they would be related to the main niche.
For example my main niche could be code generators and my sub niches would be psn code generator, xbox live code generator, etc. Each of my buffer pages main keyword would be one of the sub-niche.
So my question is:
1. Would my site rank for all the sub niches or only the main niche? because the main niche would probably have A LOT of competition.
2. Is my website example considered an authority site?
3. If i had a popular youtube video and i put my link in it's description, would the websites views from youtube help my website rank better? If so, should i put the link to my buffer site or my money site?
4. I will probably have several buffer sites, how do i spread out the backlinks? Do i spread the backlinks evenly across the buffer sites?
5. What exactly are backlinks? Posting your buffer sites link on other peoples site through comments, guest posts, forums, etc? Would it work with mass youtube comment?
