    Use both.

I mainly check webmaster tools to check my sitemaps dont have errors and for general site health issues.

I use analytics to see what brings people to my site and i try to use that information to build on what works already. Hope i helped.

Google Analytics is used to give a better picture as to who visits a website, the number of hits that a site has and how the audience find the website.

Google Webmaster Tools is a used to optimize and improve sites by providing a clear picture of what’s exactly happening in the website.

Whatever you choose between the two, so long as you know exactly how to use them, you are assured that you have an incredibly helpful tool. If you would add these two today in your website tools and you’ll easily figure out their differences so why not just have them both?

Google Analytic Tool is to check traffic sources of your site and Google Web Master Tool is for checking what is happening on your site, how Google is crawling your site, sitemap errors etc..
