All in one seo plug in and use tags as well?

If using All in one seo plug in, would you keep using the tags as well - the ones generated by wordpress, or the keywords you would usually add?

All In One was added later, which I want to keep using. But it seems like I would be upping the keyword density unneccesarily, to keep the tags that were all ready there.

I have looked around but not found any comments about this.

Thanks.

I don't use All In One plugin, IMO there's no reason to use WP Tags for anything on the live web page. Categories are used for organizing content, WP-Tags just confuse everything.

I do like all in one for the ability to write my short intro that shows up fairly often as the intro to the webpage on Google, with a call to action that hopefully gets them to click through to the site.

Some of Google's summaries of ones website can be lame and uninteresting.

Yukon, what's the best seo plugin for WP these days?

The tags were created to allow more specific descriptions that don't necessarily constitute fullblown categories.

Example: Wordpress has a good example to illustrate this: "Let's say you're about to post a recipe for brownies on your food blog. You'd probably want to use categories like "Dessert" and "Baking" and tags like "Chocolate", "Brownies", and "Walnuts"".

I don't typically repeat my keywords in the tags as it ups the keyword density.

It seems I have an echo. :-) Did you want to add something useful, or just up your post count?

For now, I have blocked the wp tags from the bots and removed the wp tags. I am just using All in one for the site and search engines are often using my summary of the post, rather than making up their own.

I agree with Yukon. I don't use the tags for any other reason than organization. Use the WP plugin to make sure you fill out the Title Tag, Description Tag, and Keywords Tag. The keywords tag is relatively useless. The others are super important as they show up in the SERP's.

I use All In One SEO on all my site and its the best out there. For your question, just use your keywords as your Tags and you will be fine.
