301'ing a whole domain will not necessarily pass signals according to Google's John Mueller

He says they try to detect a legitimate site move and pass the signals to the new domain, but they try not to pass them if it's not a legitimate site move.

    This is the second video I've seen with John Mueller in as many weeks. He tends to leave people more confused about their questions, after he answers them.
