Tracking Social Activity

Hi,

Have social buttons on my main content page, and want to start tracking what traffic source/site (e.g. the exact placement, as most of my traffic is display driven), when someone clicks the like button or tweets.

So lets say someone visits my site from bbc.com and then click the like or tweet button, i want to track that, that like came from bbc.com so i can determine which sites are converting (in terms of social).

Any ideas?

Integrate the social sites account with Google analytics with the events and you can have a track of the same there.

To be more precise, Google Analytics can report on what you're referring to.

If you're running display then you'll want to assign some sort of value for action taken.
