Amazon review site - Post tags?

I've heard some people say that when they used post tags in Wordpress on their Amazon review site that it had a negative effect on the search engine ranking.

Generally, is it a good idea to use post tags on a review site and if so how many tags.

Remove the tag cloud from the sidebar (for wordpress sites)

Other than that, 2-4 tags on a post is ok but honestly it doesn't matter. Focus your energies on writing awesome content instead
