How much CPC is giving me each click on my Adsense blog?

Hi,

I have a blog that I am monetizing since one month with Adsense and it goes failry well, between 3 and 8 euros depending on the day for around 350UV a day.

Nevertheless CPC is very low (much lower than expected, I was targeting a kw at around 0.6 euros CPC and I get less than 0.15 euros on average).
I'm using Google Adsense Ad blocking tool to list all the ads that are displayed on my web... which gives me the advertiser name, ad copy, the destination url and other qualitative information.

My question is that I'd like to know if there is a way to find on average how much I get per click for each ad. This way I could block ads that give a very low CPC and only keep the ones that give a higher CPC.

I tried on SEMRush, but they only give the average CPC of the keyword, not the CPC that the given advertiser is willing to pay. Their support also told me it's not possible to get that info in their tool.

I tried on KeywordSpy but unfortunately i'm targeting a keyword in french with french competitors, and information related to french sites and ads are not being digged since June 2012.

Do you know of any other way or alternatives (even if I have to pay?). What I really need would be something like "on average, site xyz.com pays 0.3€ for a click related to abc keyword, and site xyz234.com pays 0.9€ for a click related to the same abc keyword"

Thanks in advance.
Nicolas.

because you are advertising from the content network, the CPC you recieve is lower. Plus google take a share.

Best practise is to devide the CPC by 100, times it by ten and you will get the rough ammount of money that you will recieve when someone clicks an ad on your site.

WTF? I take it rocket science has never been a hobby of yours?
Ever considered simply dividing by 10
      6 / 100 x 10 =0.6
      6 / 10 = 0.6

Thanks for the answer but I don't quiet get it. I always thought that more or less as a piublisher I would get something like 60% of the average CPC that Google tells me for a given keyword. And as I said, the average CPC for my keyword is 0.6 and on average I get 0.15.

What I really want is the CPC paid for each ad. If there are three ads displayed on my website advertising website1 and two for website2, I'd like to know the average CPC i get paid for the clicks onwebsite1 and the average for website2.

      Is it possible?

      Nicolas.

If you are calculating average CPC cost then collect data for one month then calculate it.. means

no. of clicks of 30 days/30

What I'd like is the average CPC per ad domain per click.
If I have two websites advertising on my website, for sure I get a different CPC for each click , depending on how much the webiste is paying the click.
That's what I'd really like to get...

If your getting that CPC from the Google Keyword Tool your looking at the wrong data.

Look at the Contextual Tool then divide by 2 (ex: $0.60 CPC / 2 = $0.30 CPC) for a rough estimate. Still, just because you rank a page with a keyword doesn't mean Google is going to deliver an Adwords advertiser that was bidding on that exact keyword, then you have competition dropping off (burned their budget), & things like quality scores on Adwords. The highest Adwords bidder isn't always the guy that gets his ad shown on Adsense ads.

Thanks for the advice, but actually I haven't said the keyword, I haven't said my domain name and I just put these CPC to get a rough idea of the proportion (CPC expectd vs expected I actually get)... So I think it's more or less Ok
        But I'll be more careful.

Thanks, I checked a bit the contextual tool but Im having troubles understanding it and seeing how exactly I could get some info about which advertiser to block on my site and which not...

About what you are saying, yes I'm aware that I can't be sure that Google will deliver an Ad for the keyword I've been targeting... But since there is the tool about blocking ads, I thought maybe I could influence the wya Google is gonna show ads on my website.

      What do you think?

      Nicolas.
