G+ Could Make Or Break Your Business - Inside Tip

My sister has a blog that is growing in popularity quite quickly in the home decorating niche.

Every week she does a Google hangout with a Google employee and sometimes another blogger.

The Google employee has helped her out big time including getting some of her stuff featured at a major Google event a couple of months ago.

This chick told my sister that even though she is relatively small right now things are about to change in the next 6 to 8 months because many of the big players in every industry are not taking advantage of G+ like they should and it is going to massively impact their SEO rankings.

She told my sister that because she is making the most of G+ including doing all those hangouts that within 8 months she will surpass many of the big players and they won't know what hit them.

Just a tip for all you bloggers out there.

could certainly see g+ becoming a bigger factor in the coming months. for a while now have noticed a push by g to funnel users into it from a few key places. i've stayed away thus far but may consider using it in the future, gonna give it a bit more time.

Yes, this how Google plans on making G+ important by making it important for SEO and webmasters then they figure everyone else will jump on board later. It's a good strategy because they don't really offer anything that can't already be found on facebook/twitter.

So... A "Google Employee" is promoting the use of Google's Social Network

Tell me something, John On Fire... If you worked at a Pizza Shop, would you tell visitors that your food is Great, or that they should go to the next Pizza shop down the road?

Just trying to point out the obvious.

I think thats a little bit pedantic dont you? This bi of information could be a gem. We all know google plus is a good way to boost rankings, but maybe this is a little hint on just how important its going to be.

That pizza place you were talking about may have a worse pizza than the one "down the road" so will be forced to lie.

However i dont see google competing with any other search engines? Instead of saying "Google plus is better than facebook for seo" and hoping people will believe it, they will just make it clear that anyone using Gplus is going to go way further if they use G+ and actually make it happen.

Its hard to explain but google plus is going to be MASSIVE soon.

Well Shirlock since Google owns the majority of search they don't have to tell people that they are great - everyone already uses them.

Since they can do whatever they want with the search results then they can give people hints and say 'pretty soon those who are using G+ are going to see more returns in their seo than those who are not using G+"

I think you missed my point.

Google and G+ are already Massive. Every Gmail account is automatically linked to a G+ account.

But to hear a Google Employee say "G+ is going to be big" is just like a Facebook Employee saying "Facebook is going to be big".

I'm not saying that being on G+ isn't going to help your business. But using Facebook, Pinterest, Digg, Reddit, Slideshare, and all the other major Social Networks will get you just as much if you use them correctly.

What it all comes down to is your ability to connect with your target audience, no matter what social network you use. In truth, the more social networks you use, the more people you will reach. (To an extent... Everything in moderation)

Guys the importance of Google+ going for forward has more to do with authorship than it has to do with Google+ as a social network. Professional SEos have known about this for months

I've been testing and watching G+ for a long time.

G+ is already big as mentioned by others. It is going to get bigger for sure.

Google NEEDS this venture to work more than they do most other ventures they get in to (and yes, some obviously fail).

            Why?

            Facebook!

Google needs to show strength in the search engines. They need to tell facebook that THEY (Google) as still king. Google+ is one of the ways they are doing that - and doing it VERY well.

People who are using G+ are getting VIP treatment in the search results for EVERY kind of keyword (and niche) you could imagine.

You only have to do a search to see it for yourself. There are G+ links on the first page of every keyword, even though those people did not have to do anything else to get there (on the first page).

It's Google playing by their rules (as always), and giving power to people who use their G+.

Using hangouts will give you even more power, especially if you are bringing your website in to the mix.

I think it's here to stay. All the research and testing I'm doing points to a good, bug free-(ish) system.

From our point of view (website owners who need SERPS power), it makes perfect sense to jump on board and think of it as a stream of traffic, income and SERPS power.

So can it make or break your business?

I think it can hurt if you don't and I think it can help if you do!

            Time will tell...

            Thank's,
            John

Sorry, can't agree with this statement. Have seen many sites ranking very well for very competitive terms without even using G+. You may have lots of people in your circle, if your site doesn't have good backlinks, it won't rank.

Most of us that are still banking without G+ don't care what Google does with their social dreams.

Google has a history of social failures:
