You can use pinging tool to let search engine know about your post or content that you have written. Of Course you can do social bookmarking for the post to get quickly indexed. Digg, as i am using is very helpful.

Use the above methods but also linking out to an authority site will get you indexed almost instantly.

Actually using both above and works very, oe of my website is not launched yet but made some test (tweet and Fb share) and it rank on google page 2 on keywords giving 48m results
