Is Anyone Making Decent $$$ With Adsense?

Hi,
Just asking if there are any members making good money (> $300 per month) on Adsense sites only? I have had 4 sites up for over 6 months building back links etc and the most I have made is $5 for a day! Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Plenty of people make lots more than that. If you are making $5 why not spend a couple weeks improving those 4 sites and get yourselves up to $10 a day.

      Yeah, I hear you Seonutshell, thanks.

      One guru tells you to post quality engaging articles, another tells you this will put people off clicking the ads as they are getting enough information via the articles - their advice is to only put basic posts up as you don't want visitors too distracted! :confused:

    If you want to lots of earnings from Adsense so you need to be a good SEO strategies, becouse publisher who make money from adsense, their site keywords (mostly 2 or 3 keywords) ranked on top 5 in SERP and those are most searched keywords that generate high traffic.

    Google pays about $12 Billion in the form of Traffic Acquisition costs to its partners, each year. Somebody is seriously making some good money.

    On a side note, you could look at Ad revenue optimization by testing different ad locations and ad themes to help improve your CTR.

    Plenty of money to be made from Adsense. What you want to look for are low competition keywords with good search volumes and EPCs, and as many advertisers targeting the keyword as possible.

      ROTFLMAO! That is one major contradiction! You want to attract many
      advertisers targeting YOUR site.

      Newsflash: $5 a day is DANG good for the vast majority of people using adsense...
      Keep in mind that is $1800+ a year.

    I do well enough with AdSense (>£1k a month), the trick for me is to find a reasonly well searched for keyword i can rank top for without investing too much time/money.

    These ones tend to have low advertiser competition which results in a low CPC since not many people are bidding on the keywords. But the amount of search volume that the keywords generate make up for this.

    Not only that, these are keywords that are very hard to monitize with anything else other than AdSense, so not many people are interested in ranking them since there is nothing to sell etc.

    Plenty of people make 4 figures a month with Adsense... It's not the easy money that people think though. You need good content, a great layout, and advertisers in that niche willing to pay. You also need advertiser competition so that the CPC is high. Finally, I think be able to scale your process over time is the way to go. Gone are the days of single page or three page micro niche sites. Today you need a larger site (debatable about what "larger" is), good backlinking (as it's harder to rank now), and the ability to rinse and repeat site after site.

    I say take the 4 sites you currently have, work on the theme or layout, build good links by hand (takes time) and repeat. Then you might be in a position to make "decent $$$" from adsense.

    Definitely correct.. You have to play the game accordingly or you get boot out like those crappy site owners with no damn clue on how to kick it on adsense.
